Junkersdorf, the village of Juncrat, goes back to the end of the 8th and 9th centuries, like all village places in the area associated with a personal name and is located on the old Würzburg escort road Bamberg-Königshofen. Junkersdorf is also mentioned for the first time in 1232 in the parish certificate Pfarrweisach-Ebern. In the 14th and 15th centuries, many aristocratic families owned property in the area, such as the Stein von Altenstein, the Neustetter, known as Stürmer zu Altenstein, the Marschalk von Raueneck and the Würzburg monastery. In 1554 the Stein von Altenstein united most of the village in their hands, so that in 1576 a property belonged to the Hutten zu Birkenfeld, one of the churches in Junkersdorf, and the rest of the village belonged to the Altenstein. The Rotenhan bought this part of Altenstein in 1607/22. Junkersdorf also got its share in the Thirty Years' War, so that in 1644 only five Rotenhan subjects lived and the lower mill was totally burned down at the end of the war. The attempt of a violent counter-reformation by the Junkersdorfers who had become evangelicals on October 1, 1629, remained unsuccessful in the long run. In 1796 the village suffered from the French revolutionary troops. Junkersdorf received a permanent school in 1815 and until 1835 belonged to the Eyrichshof patrimonial court, later to Pfaffendorf. The post-war period brought the loss of the school, but also a modernization and enlargement of the village and in 1978 the merger with the parish of Pfarrweisach.

Junkersdorf is a small town with a few isolated half-timbered houses at the foot of the climb to Altenstein. Driveway from the town center through the residential area or turn right before entering the town if you are coming from the south.
