"Today's castle was built by Captain Christoph Dietrich von Plötz in 1786. The estate and castle were owned by the Saxon royal family from 1824 to 1945. The castle had been empty since 1980. In 1994/1995 the German Foundation for Monument Protection financially supported the emergency security of the building and initiated a grant from the Free State of Saxony in the amount of 160,000 marks In 2002 the manor was auctioned by the "Lebenstraum" community. "
