The Montseny dolmens that were found, the vast majority, in the Serra de l'Arca, between Aiguafreda and Brull, date from the end of the Neolithic, around the second millennium BC. They are megalithic tombs and inside the bodies were buried surrounded by their weapons and some offerings. The word dolmen comes from the Breton expression tol men, which means “stone table”.

The Montsenyense dolmens that have been found mostly in the Sierra del Arca, between Aiguafreda and Brull, date from the end of the Neolithic, around the second millennium BC. They are megalithic tombs inside which the bodies were buried surrounded by their weapons and some offerings. The word dolmen comes from the Breton expression “tol men”, which means “stone table”.

The large Aiguafreda Dolmen is located within the Can Brull property in the area of Aiguafreda, in the Pla del Boix in the Sierra del Arca. It is made up of four large vertical slabs and one horizontal one in the shape of a mound and was a funerary monument. It was built by the inhabitants of the area between the 25th and 20th centuries BC. c.
