The Weesower Luch is located in the Barnim district on the territory of the town of Werneuchen. It is located in the middle of an intensively agricultural area not far from the Werneuchen district of Weesow. In addition to some wet meadows, there are three water-bearing areas in the Luch, the Igelpfuhl as the largest standing body of water, the Gnatzpfuhl in the eastern part and a small body of water in the western area. In the eastern area, the Hohe Graben, lined with a row of alder trees, cuts through the protected area. This is one of the source waters of the Neuenhagener Mühlenfließ (Die Erpe). A lack of rainfall in recent years has meant that these bodies of water are hardly water-bearing anymore; the Igelpfuhl is already dry. I couldn't convince myself of this because it's difficult or impossible to get to the small lakes. But they are at least still recognizable due to the vegetation. In the north, a huge solar park, the "EnBW-Solarpark Weesow-Willmersdorf", borders the NSG. Around 465,000 solar modules will be used there, which are expected to produce around 180 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per year. This will make it one of the largest solar parks in Germany.
