I was between Ascension and Pentecost in Meuchefitz. Just in time for the 'Resistance Party', the highlight of the land festival in Wendland, closely linked with the anti-nuclear movement from the beginning. I could not believe my eyes, so picturesque, the inn Meuchefitz appeared to me. He resembled an autonomous youth center of the 1980s in terms of its facilities and the presence of the alternative scene.

... everything started in an old country inn, which became a meeting place for resistance against the Gorleben nuclear project after the clearing of the 1004 well site in Gorleben. The old inn burned down completely in 1984 and was rebuilt over the course of two years in the old half-timbered style.
