Located on Landgoed Petrea. Landgoed Petrea once belonged to the Duke of Guelders. Around 1850 it was bought by the well-known meteorologist Christophorus Buys Ballot. He had the farm "Petrea" built. The name probably comes from the Greek word for stone, "petra". Buys Ballot wanted to make brick from the clay present here (source: glk.nl). Three paths converge at this point. And once at the top you can catch your breath and enjoy the view.
