The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats (KHM 5) has been one of the most popular fairy tales since the first edition of the children's and household fairy tales in 1812 until today. The fairy tale was told to the Brothers Grimm by the Huguenot Hassenpflug family and the Grimms also had reason to believe that the story had French origins, as they knew the part of the story with the white paw from a French children's book, among other things.
