Located on the Lahn in the valley, an old spa town in which even the Russian tsar has matured. Everyone knows for sure "Ems Salt" - comes from here. A beautiful small town museum with a small Roman department very interesting and (last year) free admission directly in the pedestrian area with adjoining spa park and bandstand. The city is worthwhile even without a hike. At the end of the city in the direction of Arzbach a company for ventilators and incubators, etc. in the foyer there is an "iron lung" with which many children suffering from poliomyelitis were kept alive for years. Fortunately, this is better and more comfortable today. Up the hill again on the way to the "Hotel auf dem Wintersberg", right on the tower 2/1. Have a good night and breakfast.

The spa town of Bad Ems lies on the Lahn River. This river forms the border between the northern Westerwald and the southern Taunus mountains. The modern spa industry of the third millennium is still a defining factor in the town, but much more striking in the townscape are the reminiscences of bygone times, when crowned heads from Europe and even Russia were guests here.
Bad Ems is also intertwined with Germany's political history, as the famous "Ems Dispatch" originated here.
