In the Veurs valley you will get to know an ecologically very valuable area in the walking paradise of the Voer region. The valley includes the source area of the Veursbeek and the surrounding valley grounds. At dusk you can sometimes spot a deer or wild boar here, because in the evening they leave the forest to look for food in the open valley. The small dormouse and the songbird red-backed shrike feel at home in the wooded edges and standard orchards.

Veurs (local name: Veuësj) is a hamlet in Sint-Martens-Voeren, part of the municipality of Voeren in the Belgian province of Limburg. The hamlet is named after the stream of the same name. Veurs sometimes calls itself "village", although it has no church and there is no old trace of it. The village stands out for its many flint and / or half-timbered buildings.
