Well hidden behind the WOLFGANGSEE; built in the middle of the rock and therefore not only a place of reflection, especially on hot days, but also to cool off (after the steep way of the cross up from the lake shore)

The ascent is steep, but not very long. This year (summer 2018) there was no miracle water, too little rain.
If the route Ried - Falkenstein - Fürberg is too exhausting, you can also go back by boat.

Falkenstein Church with four wayside chapels in the east and Stations of the Cross as well as a chapel in the west - between St. Wolfgang and St. Gilgen in the municipality of St. Gilgen.

Cultically significant natural sanctuary with spring, cave, trace stone and rock carvings (crosses).
The eastern chapels are reminiscent of events in the Wolfgang legend (awakening of a spring, imprinting of body marks, throwing of an axe). Like the church, they are associated with many legends.
Customs of the pilgrims, some of which are still practiced today (carrying stones, echoing, crawling through the stone cave, washing the eyes, turning an old cult stone, sitting on the boulder).
Important place of worship that is often described in science and still has a large influx of pilgrims today. Earth rays and clockwise source are confirmed by all dowsers and commuters. The age of the Falkenstein's cultic significance is unknown. It probably dates back to pre-Christian times.
