This section on the Johannisberg leads from the cross to the giant swing, where you can take a break.

What is remarkable about the Johannisberg and somehow irritating are the rows of vineyards, which on the steep slope do not run vertically but horizontally to the slope. According to the information board, this should make the machine easier to use and eliminate the need for the cable winches that are otherwise common on steep slopes. But this does not affect the reading machines, as they need a lane on both sides of the vines, so hand-picking is the order of the day.
