To be honest, it is not clear to me why the job is listed as a "highlight". Yes, you come from the beautiful forest and are happy about a little more light - but then you see the 70s building sins, and they are really ugly.
I had hardly thought that when two other hikers came from the opposite direction and said it loudly, clearly and not quotable here.
Here the Harz is unfortunately as some imagine it:
Actually pretty little place, disfigured by Bettenburg.
