Neighboring Swiss towns such as Sessa, Agra or Monteggio are within walking distance from Dumenza. In addition, the town of Luino is only a stone's throw away. Lake Maggiore, three kilometers away, is within reach. But Dumenza also has other attractions in its territory.
The historic town center alone is a feast for the eyes, captivating its guests with its rural-looking houses and huge sunny balconies. Places of worship such as the Church of San Nazario and the Church of Madonna Immacolata clearly show the important role religion plays in the town.
The reflection on church buildings and religious life also continues in the Runo district. Next to the cemetery is the parish church of San Giorgio in Runo. The town of Stivigliano impresses with its medieval flair.
It almost seems as if the houses in the middle of the narrow streets are supporting each other. There is also a tower overlooking Stivigliano, which served a military purpose in the past. This combination of sights shows how unique the village is.
