Coming from the Rhine valley through the Achrain tunnel, Alberschwende is the first place in the Bregenz Forest.

Tips
In Alberschwende, the Bereuter family produces classic wooden toboggans called "Ländle-Rodel".

The Bentele brothers offer guided tours and tastings in their visitor center with shop. They produce pralines, fine brandies and honey care products. The range also includes bee products and specialties from the Bregenz Forest, from cheese to sausage and bacon.

A particularly beautiful view of the front Bregenzerwald opens up in a right-hand bend on the road from Alberschwende to Müselbach. There is also a rest area with benches to enjoy the view.
