The small Fröschl Chapel, also known as the "Rehkogel Chapel," was built in 1914 by Johann and Rosina Fröschl in gratitude for Johann Fröschl's recovery. Since then, it has served not only as a spiritual retreat on the way to Weistrach, but soon became an integral part of the region's religious life.

In 1939, it was expanded: The carpenter Gallhuber (known as Schodermeier), grandfather of the current Brandecker family, installed an altar table and benches. Since then, the chapel has also been a fixture in the annual supplication procession.

For many decades, the Fröschl Chapel was a popular place of power – both for hikers and locals seeking peace and contemplation. The sadness was all the greater when the chapel was demolished by the property owner on March 25, 2025, without prior notice. Many people from the surrounding area associated personal memories with this place.

But there is hope: thanks to the rapid commitment of the parish, community and residents, a new chapel is already planned at a nearby location.
