Batz-sur-Mer in Breton: Bourc’h-Baz, has around 3000 inhabitants.
Once located on an island, the city is now an integral part of the wild coast, the Guérande Peninsula.
Between the salt mines and the Atlantic Ocean, the city is surrounded by a rocky coast and sandy beaches that offer a unique panorama.

Throughout the year, Batz-sur-Mer holds its weekly market on Monday mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In July and August it adds a market on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In July the city also hosts a night market dedicated to crafts and local products, with musical entertainment.
