The Chapel of St. Mark (Sv. Marka) is an early Christian structure, probably dating back to the 5th century. The typical Roman mosaic floors of that time are still preserved.
The present building dates from the 16th century.

Open: daily from 8am to 11am and 6pm to 9pm

Baška on the island of Krk has stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. Vela Plaža is particularly popular.

In the old town and around the harbor, there are many pleasant restaurants and bars, some of which are right on the waterfront, where you can watch the vibrant life pass by!

The area also offers many hiking opportunities, albeit mostly on gravel paths, in beautiful natural surroundings and often with sea views!

There are also historical sights, such as the Church of St. Lucija.

Sv. Marek, the only sandy beach on the island of Krk, is located near the village of Risika and 6 km from Vrbnik. The beach is located in St. Mark's Bay, which got its name from the Church of St. Mark, the ruins of which are nearby. On the beach there are sun decks in the sand or in the meadows, hospitality, boat docks, sanitary facilities and parking. There are loungers, parasols and pedal boats for rent. Traditionally, in July, the ethosiasts from Risika organize a 3100 m long swimming marathon that starts in Vrbnik.
