It's exciting that electricity (apparently for rail traffic) was generated here over a hundred years ago.

The technical monument Kammerl is special in several respects. Low-frequency alternating current was generated here for the first time in 1904 for train traffic. And when it was shut down in 2012, it was the longest-serving power plant of its kind in the world.

There are guided tours of the power plant again, currently on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. More detailed information can be found under the first link.
