Kuhloch Natural Monument
This natural monument consists of Bürser Conglomerate and is now a dry gorge. The sinkholes and detached rock tower still show the curves created by the water (scours).[3] The gorge and sinkholes were created approximately 13,000 years ago at the end of the last Ice Age by the Alvier River, which only flowed here briefly before shifting towards the present-day Bürser Gorge and further eroding it. At that time, the Brandnertal Valley was already ice-free, and the Ill Glacier was still present in the Walgau.
