After the Marienbrunnen the main street narrows. After a short descent you reach the large linden tree of the bastion of the lower gate. Quaint buildings line the edges of this uneven cobblestone alley.

After the Fountain of the Virgin, the main street narrows and descends to the large lime tree of the bastion of the lower gate. Picturesque buildings line the edges of this uneven cobblestone alley. The large lime tree was planted in 1713 and has witnessed many historical events. In this place you can contemplate the park of the Favart estate (formerly Potter's) and imagine the old feudal castle. Under this esplanade we discover the entrance to an old casemate. To reach this “prison”, you must descend the “white stones” very carefully, as the slope is steep.
