The artesian spring is expected to come out of a gap that is 200 meters deep and has a fill of 90 to 100 liters per second. When the chapel was last rebuilt, about 20 years ago, the spring socket was also renewed and a pumping station was installed to feed the water into the public water supply when needed.

Also, the water that can be found on the outside wall of the chapel, runs over the pump when it is in operation (in the summer mostly). The pipeline is about 8 meters long. Even if the pumping system turns off, the water is always in motion and drains over the clearest stream that you can think of. You sit on a stone wall and find yourself in a world that excludes the noisy 21st century.
