The chapel was built in 1460 by Lord Willem van Bierbeek and his wife Elisabeth de Berchimont and has been renovated several times since then. You see him on the Villaret map of 1745, but I only see the name on the Vandermaelen map of 1854. It stands at the intersection with the Rue Jules Coisman (executed freedom fighter) and is dedicated to Saint Cornelis who made it Pope yet in the tumultuous times when in 253 it came to an end by beheading or deprivation. Cornelius means 'strong as a horn' and in the countryside he is venerated as the patron saint for large and small animals with horns, but also against epilepsy (Cornelius disease), cramps and nervous and ear ailments. In Brabant, he is also popularly referred to as Sint Knillis and his memorial day is on September 16. Every year, on the 4th Sunday after Easter, a colorful procession takes place in Mille on the initiative of all the surrounding parishes to celebrate Saint Corneille and on other Sundays the doors are opened so that you can admire the inside. The ceramics in the chapel are clearly by the contemporary devout artist Max van der Linden. The chapel has been protected as a monument since 1990. At the chapel you can put your daily worries aside for a while under a huge lime tree on a bench. I don't know if that linden tree is also protected, but I hope it is.
