Zuivelfabriek Sint Pancratius dates back to 1916 and, because of the way in which collaboration took place for the first time, it is part of Brabant's heritage. Gerlacus van den Elsen proposed the cooperative at the time as a solution to the difficult existence of farmers. Although Brabant used to have many dairy factories, many of them were demolished due to mergers after WWII. Zuivelfabriek Sint Pancratius is one of the last that has been well preserved.

Noord-Brabant once had many dozens of dairies, but after the Second World War these became redundant through mergers and therefore demolished. There were once many small dairies in North Brabant, but most have been demolished. On the Vessemseweg is one of the last well-preserved examples, the former Sint-Pancratius dairy factory from 1916. The building, designed by the Eindhoven architect Louis Kooken, has details inspired by medieval castle construction.
