"The hidden townscape of Winthagen" (Green Hotspot 4)

Winthagen is a small hamlet located in the municipality of Voerendaal. The occupation in Winthagen originated from the lease farm Winthagerhof. The farm is already mentioned in 1448. Winthagen has a protected village view. Winthagen is surrounded by an agricultural area. To the west of Winthagen you will find the Kunderberg, a large nature reserve with, among other things, day-summer limestone, species-rich limestone grasslands and a few limestone quarries.
