The Rheinaue near Friemersheim is located in a beautiful curve of the Rhine. Meadows, fields and paths are framed by rows and trees.
You can take nice walks, but you should be able to block out the industrial noises on the opposite side of the Rhine. There is a power plant and various unloading points for cargo ships that do not work silently.
Various boards along the paths provide information about fauna and flora in meadows, hedges, etc.

If you turn east on the Rhine dike, you will come to the flood meadows of the Friemersheimer Werth (pastures, trees, woods and bridle paths).

Hohenbudberg-Friemdersheim with St. Matthias (first mentioned as a three-aisled basilica in 1150): Parking lot next to the cemetery or behind the church.
Way there along the Rhine, way back via Friemersheim with Philosophenweg and past De Roos (small wetland / pond) back to the starting point.
