The Wijde Aa is an elongated ancient peat stream in the municipality of Kaag en Braassem in the north of South Holland. On the west side, the Wijde Aa ends at the (Kromme) Does near Hoogmade. On the east side it runs to the junction of the Woudwetering and the Paddegat (Braassemermeer), north of the town of Woubrugge.

The Wijde Aa is a main route for pleasure boating to Hoogmade and Leiden from the Braassemermeer. The river is a popular swimming destination in the summer. The municipality has a few swimming facilities, both at the Groenewoudsekade near Roelofarendsveen and the Plasdijk in Woubrugge there is an official swimming spot, where the water quality is regularly sampled.
