Very pleasant country hike that starts at the Sept Chemins and takes us to the Combe Gilbert pond (between Taluyers and Orlienas) then visit the center of this beautiful thousand-year-old village in West Lyonnais which is Taluyers.
This visit allowed us once again to admire the magnificent Priory of Taluyers.
This Cluniac priory was founded in 999 under the authority of the Abbot of Cluny.
Taluyers is also a village with a medieval past with architectural treasures: a Romanesque church, a priory, narrow streets etc.
We then took the exit of the village towards the old Montagny, (old fortified village overlooking the plain). We thus discovered the 11th century chapel, then we visited the old ramparts.
In the 13th century, the Baronnie de Montagny, originally from Nivernais, took the title of "First barony of Lyonnais"
