The Böttcherhus is built by Anton Helfferich (+1805), a winegrower from Marktheidenfeld near Würzburg. He runs a wine trade.
1786-1860
His son Maximilian-Theodor took over the business and steered the wine trade through the turmoil of the French Revolution.
1817-1874
Anton Helfferich (the founder's grandson) continued the tradition as a wine dealer in the 3rd generation.

After the death of her father, Julia Helfferich rents the traditional vault to the wine and spirits dealer Schumacher.
1939-1945
Misuse of the wine cellar as an air-raid shelter. It is said that in many moments some wine helped through difficult hours.

Karl Erich Böttcher discovers the brick cellars and restores the vaults. Opening of the Böttcher cellar as a restaurant, wine bar, wine trade.
For more than 230 years, entertaining evenings have been spent here in the cellar with tasty wine flavors and important, true or wine-like words exchanged.
