the Bärenklauer Siedlung was created by the expellees from "East Germany" (Polish-occupied areas; Potsdam Agreement). This is where their new home was built. Somewhat remote from hogweed, because the settlers, actually the displaced people, were not welcome in the village. The houses built here from 1946 onwards are partly built with bricks from the Guben Borsig works (armaments industry, now man-made fiber works), which people fetched from there by handcart.
