In the heart of Padua, a few steps from the Palazzo del Bo, in a corner of the lively Piazza Antenore, stands a funerary aedicule built in the Middle Ages to house the sarcophagus of what, according to legend, should be the remains of Antenore , mythological founder of the city.

Really interesting monument located right in front of the prefecture of Padua. This medieval aedicule appears to contain the remains of the city's founder, Antenor of Troy. At least that's what the scholar Lovato Lovati believed in the 13th century, to whom we also owe the verses engraved on the monument. In any case, it is a splendid example of funerary art of the time.
