The Weidenburg Arena Salix was created by the Swiss architect Marcel Kalberer and is unique in Europe with its size and design. The 36 meter long living building with a 12 meter high dome is regularly used for events. The Arena Salix is accessible all year round.

The ecological monument made of braided willow branches on the Schlossberghof was built in 2006.

The Weidenburg, created by the Swiss architect Marcel Kalberer, is unique in Europe due to its size of 7878 m˛ and its design. In addition to the project manager, four willow construction specialists and around 30 schoolchildren and students from the region were involved in the construction. The main building material is Calva - a broken willow and at the same time the most common pollard willow species. Coconut yarn and synthetic material were used for fastening.
The living and growing work of art consists of a central inner area with a two-storey dome, a lounge and event area as well as an entrance and tour area.
Weidenburg was financed through a LEADER plus project in the Spreewald economic area.

Stage dome: 12 m x 8 m base, 12 m high
Entrance dome: 8 m base (circular shape), 8 m height
Length of the property: approx. 36 m (without entrance area)
