Keent is a new nature reserve where there is plenty to see and experience. The area is enclosed between water and nature and is a kind of island that mainly consists of swamps and riparian forests: a forest that grows naturally along the river. It is also a grazing area for large grazers, so who knows, you might come across Scottish Highlanders or Exmoor ponies.

Keent is a new nature reserve of 300 hectares named after the nearby hamlet of Keent. The area is largely located in the municipality of Oss and a small part in the municipality of Grave.

The nature reserve consists of parts of the Keentse Uiterwaard and the Lage Wijth, which lies outside the meander. This is a relatively high area that has always been used for agricultural purposes, but 400 hectares of which have been designated as nature reserves.

The area is now owned by the Brabants Landscape Foundation. In addition, fifty-six hectares of ponds, groves and wooded areas on and in the vicinity of the area are owned by Staatsbosbeheer under the name: Landscape Elements Keent and Reek.
