This place is used to store wood chips from sustainable forestry. Wood chips are considered to be particularly environmentally friendly. They come from renewable raw materials, protect the earth's oil and coal reserves and thus have a positive effect on our CO2 balance because they replace oil or coal as renewable raw materials. This corresponds to around 150,000 liters of heating oil. Enough to supply around 100 modern single-family houses with heating energy and hot water for a year. Around 2,000 cubic meters of evenly shredded branches and tree tops are kept on the storage site.
