Totally idyllic mountain hut with overnight accommodation. Quiet and secluded with a great panoramic view and a small lake. Don't despair when hiking to the hut: you can only see it when you are right in front of it, as it is very sheltered. And watch out: the kitchen closes at 3 p.m.

For more than 20 years I have been coming back to the Hintergradhütte. Hiking at the foot of the Ortler is just as attractive as on the opposite side of the valley.

The Hintergarthütte is a nice hut on the way from the Schaubachhütte to the Tabarettahütte. For mountaineers who want to climb the Ortler over the back ridge, it serves as a starting point.

A truly beautiful hut. It's best to arrive with a power bank and fully charged gear. There's only a little electricity here in the evenings. It's off during the day. Still, the food is good, the drinks are delicious, and the view is incredibly beautiful. The terrace is sunny, and there's a lake right outside for swimming. Wonderful.
