The building formerly used by the stationed military units was converted into a meeting place after the fall of the Wall. With the help of display boards, visitors learn interesting facts about the history and nature of the diving forest. The building is equipped with a kitchen and a large common room (for a maximum of 45 people) and can be used for both private and school purposes.

According to the current state of knowledge, the diving hut was the officers' mess. The municipality of Burkau had it converted into a meeting point where day trippers like to rest today. The building can also be rented. The barracks in the neighborhood were demolished, the concrete shredded and used to build paths in the diving forest. Contrary to prejudice, the Soviet army left the diving forest clean.
