    If you want to shorten the route to Pilatus, you can get here by cable car. Otherwise a nice place for a stopover.

      Very nice and fine restaurant with great views. The gondola rides as long as the restaurant opens. It is not the cheapest restaurant, but also super fine, comfortable and nice and therefore highly recommended.

        Nice tour by bike or on foot from Hergiswil. There is also a train (for a fee) to Alp Gschwänd. The food in the restaurant along with the train ride is a bit expensive but excellent. It is not an insider tip so reserve in advance.

            Cozy place with inviting alpine economy. Located directly on the hiking trail between Hergiswil and Fräkmüntegg. The Brunni-Alpg Schwänd cable car runs from Hergiswil up to the alp. On nice days, the restaurant is not only well frequented by hikers.

                A great little entry point to the start of the main climb up to Pilatus Kulm. Great views of the Vierwaldstätter and Rigi over pristine alpine pasture and forests. You have the option to take a cable car up to this point too so accessible for all.

                  Very beautiful alpine pasture on the descent over the Rengpass. The bike path leads around the Alm, the narrow hiking path leads through the middle of the Alm with the restaurant, so the hiker can hardly miss the stop :-)

                      A very good meal is served by extremely nice and friendly staff. Be sure to walk up, then you'll be pretty hungry. For those in need, there is a cable car that ends directly on the terrace.
