Schwanenstadt is a municipality in Upper Austria in the Vöcklabruck district in the Hausruckviertel with 4407 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The community is located in the judicial district of Vöcklabruck.
With an area of 2.59 square kilometers, Schwanenstadt is one of the smallest municipalities in Upper Austria.
It lies at an altitude of 389 m above the Adriatic and has around 4,600 inhabitants.

Old Town Schwanenstadt is the historical core of the municipality of Schwanenstadt in Upper Austria. The old town is located on the town square, which is lined with numerous town houses from different eras. The old town's sights include the town hall, the parish church of St. Michael, the parish church of St. Oswald, the local history museum and Herberstorff Castle.
