The Ouburg is one of the oldest castle ruins in the Netherlands. It was a rectangular building of 25 x 17 meters with an octagonal on the south corner Donjon (residential tower). At this tower was an L-shaped living wing with a small inner square. The walls of the castle were made of 1.50 thick bricks. Of these buildings is still a small part, especially a part of the southwest wall, the residential tower with the attached basement vault and remains of a staircase. Probably the castle was devastated by fire at the end of the 15th century.
