The Große Sattelberg is a mountain peak in the Vienna Woods that is 584 meters high. It lies between the Parapluiberg and the Gaisberg and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The Große Sattelberg is a popular destination for hikers who want to enjoy nature and Austrian home cooking. There are several hiking trails that lead to the Großer Sattelberg, for example from Gießhübl, Perchtoldsdorf or Kaltenleutbaren. A circular hike to the Großer Sattelberg takes between two and five hours, depending on the route.

Willy Kreuzer was an Austrian composer and mountaineer who was born on October 31, 1947 in Baden (Lower Austria) and died on January 9, 2019 while hiking. He was the only person to climb all 979 Austrian mountains higher than 3000 meters. He was also a gifted musician, composing numerous works for choir, chamber music, piano and stage. He received several awards for his musical and mountaineering achievements. He was the father of two sons and taught music and history at BG/BRG Baden Biondekgasse.
