delgasse 15 is now part of the Wasem winery, with a vinotheque, restaurant and conference rooms; until 1573 there was a Cistercian monastery "Engelthal" for noble women, probably from the 13th century (first mentioned in 1290), pastorally cared for and supervised by the Eberbach monastery. Two half-timbered buildings in the courtyard with closely spaced windows still indicate cells of nuns.

All other monastery buildings, including the chapel in the rear area, were demolished after the monastery was dissolved by the Reformation in favor of residential and farm buildings on the Mühlenhofreite.

The monastery drew income from many different farms, e.g. also from Sporkenheim (Krämer in detail p. 37-42). There are many entries in the dispute books about complaints about late payments. Even after the Reformation, the monastery taxes had to be paid and now fell to the Electoral Palatinate; the Palatinate government initially gave it as a fief to the Electoral Palatinate clerk in Oppenheim, Dietrich Freitag, † December 9, 1598, whose tomb is in the castle church.

Originally, the taxes arose from donations made to the monastery so that the nuns could pray for the salvation of the donors; now, after the dissolution of the monastery and the expulsion of the nuns by the Kurpfalz, they served a Palatinate nobleman as part of his livelihood.
