Kirkel with its extensive foliage and coniferous forests and the 130 km network of hiking trails is a popular destination that offers both the passionate hiker and the leisurely walker a variety of opportunities for relaxation and recreation. A hike on the rock path with geological nature trail is particularly recommended, a premium hiking trail in a class of its own along a chain with bizarre rock formations that were created 240 million years ago.
