The smell of food comes from the hut as you drive past. Definitely worth a stop. The on-site parking lot is large.

Mihov dom na Vršiču is located along the Kranjska Gora-Vršič road above Velika Pišnica, exactly halfway. The building was built after World War I as a Yugoslav military outpost. After World War II, it was bought by PD Kranjska Gora in 1948 and converted into a mountain lodge; it was named after the famous alpinist Miho Arich (1918-1944), who fell in the partisans; On December 7, 1952, a memorial plaque was unveiled at his home. The home has been renovated and modernized several times, and was thoroughly renovated in 1987.

Because the home is on a beautiful vantage point, it has a beautiful view from it, despite the nearby forests. On the east side, above the extensive Krnica, are the Martuljek mountains with Špik, and to the right of them is an extremely beautiful view of Škrlatica; on the south side, the walls of Prednja glava and Goličica in Prisojnik rise above the nearby Velika Pišnica, and on the right we can see the much lower green Vršič between the walls of Prisojnik and Mojstrovka; to the west and north, a ridge rises above the lodge with Robičje, Visoko Mavrince, Kumlehova glava, Veliki Kumleh and Škrbinjek, which stretches from Mojstrovka to Kranjska Gora.
