Coming from the Kleiner Arbersee uphill through the forest, the traditional Berghaus Sonnenfels suddenly appears in a sunny clearing. Large terrace with some sun loungers for sunbathing.

If you descend from the Großer Arber on foot, it's pretty much at the end of the path, so it's a great opportunity to stop here and take a break after a successful hike; the prices are normal.

Very nice mountain inn with a great beer garden.
Opening hours: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Closed on weekdays in very bad weather.
Winter 2023/24 open from lift operation and on weekends
