The Marienberg, which has been a listed building since 2001, was created in 1913 - next to the Kreuzberg - as another place of prayer and devotion for pilgrims on the "Hellers Berg" and was completed by 1936. The park-like complex with paths and plantings was planned and implemented by the Franciscan master gardener Brother Natalis Knocke.

A processional path, which initially rises steeply, winds its way across the entire mountain, past the 15 stations of the joyful, painful and glorious rosary prayer, the secrets of which are depicted on numerous stele-like stone reliefs or in fully sculptural groups of figures. The last three steles were designed by the well-known Franciscan sculptor Brother Firminus Wickenhäuser in the 1930s. Almost all of the artistic objects were created through donations from pilgrims or donations from individual processions (Dülmener, journeymen's associations).

On the way, the pilgrims also reach the "Nazareth House" and, at the highest point of the mountain, a large gathering place with a chapel dedicated to Mary, built in 1922, for which the Wiedenbruck sculptor Heinrich Püts created a large wooden altar sculpture of the enthroned Madonna with the baby Jesus in 1934.

Without the facilities of the Kreuzberg and especially the Marienberg, the numerous pilgrims who came to Neviges in the 1930s and after the Second World War would not have been able to find a place for church services and the veneration of the image of grace, as the old pilgrimage church was often too small for the crowds of believers. During the great pilgrimages, thousands took part in bishop's masses and Marian celebrations here, and the famous Hardenberg storm devotions and religious meetings or national rallies of Catholic clubs and associations usually took place here.
