Play forest Nieuw Wulven near Houten is a play forest of Staatsbosbeheer. To get there you have to walk a kilometer with seven signs with animal assignments along the way.

The play forest is not really in a forest, but in an open space where a Roman fort once stood. Fort Fectio, on an important site for the Romans near the junction of the Rhine with the Vecht. The outline of the fort is shown through a wall of earth. Inside there are some play equipment, a picnic table and a water pump. There is also enough space to play football. Further on is a water to splash around.
