The Heimans Quarry is a former quarry in a slope (steep wall) of a Geul valley carved out by the Geul. Today the Heimans quarry is no longer in use. KNMI has, however, set up a seismological measuring station under the quarry to register earthquakes.

The Heimans Quarry is a former quarry in Dutch South Limburg in the municipality of Vaals. The quarry is located northwest of Cottessen and south of Camerig. The Heimans quarry is located in a slope (steep wall) of a Geul valley carved out by the Geul at the foot of the southwestern slope of the Plateau van Vijlen.

The quarry is named after the naturalist and educator Eli Heimans.

Today the Heimans quarry is no longer in use. The quarry is a geological monument that is managed by the Limburg Landscape Foundation.[1] Because the rock is very hard here, the KNMI has set up a seismological measuring station under the quarry to register earthquakes.
