The Mijnspoorpad is a walking path from Heerlen via Nuth to Schinnen and vice versa. This project was developed as part of the year of Mines 2015 and is part of the Corio-Glana project.

A total of 8 mine railway banks have been placed along the aforementioned mine track path. The result of the cultural education project has been made tangible with a GIANT MINE LAMP. By means of a push button you will hear children's voices telling about the so important mining history. The energy is generated via a solar cell. In addition, 20 Mijnspoorpoles were placed on which a question is visible on the front and the answer on the back. These 20 questions and answers are based on the ideas of the total of 245 participating children by means of their completed fill-in cards.
