This hike starts directly from my accommodation, there are public parking spaces nearby (free of charge). However, in the area around the starting point there are additional (free) parking spaces along the street, but these are limited. Otherwise you can also park opposite the Zufikon community center. (Toll-free). Or park at the FC Bremgarten football club or at the Sunnemärt Bremgarten (charges apply)
It's a very nice hike. Can be done all year round.
Can also be done on foot with children (from 10 years). Good physical condition is essential.
I found the following highlights of the hike:
- Erdmannlistein is very nice to visit, you can take the opportunity to take a break there. There are two large tables including benches for picnics.
The legend of the Erdmannlistein is that, according to a local legend, under the Erdmannlistein was the entrance to a cave. The trusting “Erdmannli” (meerkats), creatures similar to brownies, lived there. They performed dances and jumps and received vegetables as a reward from people. When two young boys threw stones into the cave, the “Erdmannli” disappeared forever. There is a legend circulating among children that the “Erdmannli” would emerge again if someone managed to run around the Erdmannlist seven times while holding their breath (which is impossible). The role of a Chindlistein is also attributed to the Erdmannlistein.
- Cholmoos very beautiful pond, absolutely lovely to visit. Here you can enjoy nature and the peace and quiet.
