The 134 x 122 m area is still completely enclosed by walls and towers, some of which are as tall as a man. It offers a great insight into the Roman past of the Taunus. The fort was designed for a Roman number (150 - 200 men) and, together with the Feldberg fort, flanked the Saalburg 7 km away (cohort fort for 500 men).
