This is a tea room I have visited around five times, whenever I'm in Borrowdale! The BEST cheesy crumpets, hot and cold drinks and hearty stews/soups.

Filled my water bottles up with tap water on a 2-week hike. Wonderful views from the garden next to the tea room. Simply wonderful service and quality of food.

The Flock-in tearoom belongs to the Tree Farm opposite and sells cold and hot drinks, cakes, fudge, and other sweet treats, as well as homemade pasties, sandwiches, toasties, and more. Many of them are made with their own delicious and juicy, award-winning Herwick beef.

Small souvenirs such as postcards, buttons, and other items, as well as toothpaste, sunscreen, and wet wipes, are also available there.

The food is particularly delicious in the small, pretty garden to the right and behind the house, overlooking the Borrowdale valley (there is also a covered garden behind the house).

The staff are super friendly.

Open from the beginning of February to November: 6 days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
